Lab Operations Associate


Bluejay Diagnostics is a medical diagnostics company focused on developing cost-effective, rapid, near-patient products for triage and monitoring of disease progression. To help us with our mission, we are searching for Lab Operations Associate. Under the direction of the Senior Research Scientist, the applicant’s key areas of responsibility include equipment management, EH&S compliance, and procurement for the lab. Due to the hands-on nature of this role, this position will be an onsite position.


• Oversee daily laboratory operations onsite and help manage the lab inventories.

• Perform general lab cleaning, restocking, and maintenance to ensure uninterrupted research.

• Manage equipment maintenance contracts and scheduling of preventive maintenance/calibration of equipment

• Oversee procurement and receipt of equipment, materials, and services for the lab.

• Manage programs for lab safety, safety training, chemical inventory control, and waste management; maintain records and ensure ongoing compliance.

• Perform additional related duties, as needed.


• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a laboratory environment including maintenance of lab facilities and equipment.

• Customer service focused, with an excellent work ethic and display a professional can-do attitude.

• Ability to establish and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to support lab operations.

• Experience with procurement.

• Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently.

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

• Ability to commute to our Acton, MA office.
